Paul Jackson just finished undergoing surgery to remove the cancerous tumor from his leg. The procedure went better than expected, however the surgeons determined that the tumor was larger than originally thought, posing extreme danger to his sciatic nerve. While this presented a serious problem, the surgeons were thankfully able to remove the tumor while saving the sciatic nerve. Plus, the swelling was not nearly as bad as originally anticipated, erasing the need for a second surgery and dramatically shortening John Paul’s hospital stay.
God’s hand was definitely on John Paul Jackson’s life throughout the entire procedure. Because the sciatic nerve was spared, John Paul will eventually regain full functionality of his leg. And while he will have to undergo more physical therapy to strengthen the muscles in his leg, in time he will regain strength.
God has been, and continues to be, so faithful in the face of such a difficult situation. He is truly a miraculous God!
