Lucas Connell is honored to travel the world preaching the Gospel, leading people to Jesus and into a genuine encounter with the presence of God. Born in Melbourne, Australia, Lucas’ upbringing was far from the faith-filled life he enjoys today. Raised in an environment of drugs, it’s no surprise that Lucas began experimenting with illicit substances at just 12 years of age. This began an 11-year drug addiction that left Lucas gripped and mentally ill. A move to the party town of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast at age 21 began a celebration of different kind for this drug-addicted young man. Lucas encountered God’s love and committed his life to Jesus, during a phone call to his aunty, who had being praying for him for 17 years. The following day Lucas attended SURFCiTY Christian Church where he again encountered God and was set free from addiction and the mental illness he suffered most of his life.
