We just received news that Malaysia Air Flight 17, a Boeing 777 with 295 passengers aboard, was shot down in eastern Ukraine near the Russian boarder, an area that has seen recent fighting between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian forces.
It is unclear who is responsible for shooting down the jet, but authorities are looking into the situation. Early reports by Ukrainian officials called this incident an act of terrorism, and stated that the plane may have been shot down by a Russian-made antiaircraft system.
The jet was headed from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it was shot down near the Russian boarder of Ukraine. Among the 295 people aboard, there have been no reported survivors.
Malaysia Airlines recently lost another Boeing 777, along with all passengers aboard, when it went missing over the Indian Ocean.
Please join Daystar in praying for the families of the passengers killed on Malaysia Air Flight 17. Continue to pray for peace in that region of the world, an area that has experienced so much violence and loss in recent times.
