We love hearing stories and testimonies from our viewers all around the world! Last year, we learned about a girl named Elizabeth Crouch who has been watching Marcus & Joni along with the Daystar Singers and Band on Daystar faithfully for years.
When Elizabeth was two weeks old she contracted a virus that led to meningitis. Critically ill, Elizabeth almost died, but after weeks in the hospital she was left with brain damage and cerebral palsy, causing her to be unable to talk and walk. She spent lots of time in and out of hospitals, and before the age of 3, had been admitted to Dallas Children’s Hospital 28 times for treatment.
Today, at 12 years of age, she is cognitively very bright, but her days are filled with lots of therapy. She lives in Dallas, Texas with her parents and brother, and the whole family attends Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas.
“When Elizabeth was in Dallas Children’s Hospital barely clinging to life in a coma 12 years ago, my late grandmother came up from near Houston to see our sweet baby,” said Laura Crouch, Elizabeth’s mother. “Mawmaw (grandmother) went into the ICU to Elizabeth’s room alone, shut the door and sang hymns to her quietly. She grew tired standing so she sat in a rocker near Elizabeth’s bed. A group of residents and fellows made rounds, seeing Elizabeth for a few minutes and left, shutting the door behind them. Mawmaw said it was quiet except for the whirring of all the life support machines. Then a man with a white coat opened the door and walked in, not acknowledging that my grandmother was in the room. Mawmaw said he had a certain glow about him and she was taken completely aback. He walked straight to Elizabeth’s bed and gently picked up her hand, intertwined her tiny fingers in his, and said, “Elizabeth, you are healed.” This man turned around and left. Mawmaw said he didn’t open the door to leave! He was just gone. My grandmother was so overwhelmed she could not talk about it for 3 months. And even then she only told my cousin who is a missionary at first.”
This, along with other prophecies received, has strengthened the Crouch family’s faith in believing that Elizabeth will one day be healed – and her testimony will bear witness to the amazing healing power of God!
Each night before bed, Elizabeth watches Marcus & Joni, and especially loves watching the Daystar Singers and Band. On Wednesday, December 10th, Elizabeth and her family were guests at our studios for a special episode of Marcus & Joni. They were able to sit in the audience during the show, and the Daystar Singers and Band sang her favorite song, “This is Your Moment.”
We are so happy that Daystar can be a blessing to Elizabeth and her family, and we were honored to have them here in our studios. Partners, please join us in praying for this little girl – the family is believing for a complete healing for Elizabeth, and we are joining them in their prayer.
“Our family has been standing for Elizabeth’s healing for 5 years,” says Linda Claiborne, Elizabeth’s grandmother. “We believe Isaiah 53:3 that by His stripes she is healed. We have had prophecy after prophecy over Elizabeth’s healing and we believe a miracle is eminent. Thanks to Daystar, we are able to watch wonderful pastors and teachers who encourage us in our stand. We cannot wait for the manifestation of her healing.”
