Whether you’ve been to Israel before or are planning your first trip to the Holy Land, it’s always nice to have an idea of where to go and what to do when you’re there! We asked Pastor John Hagee to come up with some of his favorite things to do/see/visit while in Israel – here are some of his recommendations!
Favorite restaurant: Decks
Favorite holiday/time of year to visit: Any season – there is never a bad time to go to Israel!
Church you like to visit: Saint Ann’s Church by the Pool of Bethsaida; it’s where we hold our Sunday services while in Israel.
Landmark to see: Israel is the landmark of all landmarks! It is the birth country of our Savior!
People to meet: When we visit Israel, we try to host representatives from various parts of the country such as students, rabbis, doctors, IDF soldiers, Knesset members etc., but most importantly, we try to meet with regular Israeli citizens who seek nothing but peace for their families.
One thing you HAVE to do every time you go to Israel: Pray at the Western Wall!
Ideas for family friendly activities in Israel: There are a lot of family friendly activities in Israel! From being baptized in the Jordan River to kayaking down the same, to climbing the mountains surrounding the Dead Sea and walking through Hezekiah’s Tunnel, there is something for everyone. Some of my favorite memories include having dinner at Bedouin camps in the desert and attending concerts at the base in Masada.
