Even before the recent conflict and tension in Gaza, Daystar has always been a loyal supporter of Israel. Now, our support of the Holy Land is more important than ever before. You, our partners, have also given to and faithfully supported Israel throughout the years, and for that we are exceedingly thankful. Together, we have been able to accomplish many things to benefit the Israeli people, including the construction of a new trauma wing for the Assaf Harrofeh Medical Center in Tel Aviv; donations to the Larger than Life Foundation, benefiting Israeli children with cancer and their families; construction and operation of the Daystar House of Hope for Holocaust survivors living below the poverty level; and, most recently, our Heart for a Soldier campaign, benefiting Israeli soldiers serving in both Division 188 and Division 401 of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
Recently, Daystar was endorsed by Israeli Minister of Intelligence Yuval Steinitz, a very prominent Israeli politician who has been very active and vocal in the media lately, voicing his opinions on the situation in Gaza. He was recently at the United Nations General Assembly, and spoke on the situation there as well.
After beginning his political career in the 1980’s, Yuval Steinitz became a Knesset (legislative branch of the Israeli government) member for Likud (major political party in Israel) in 1999. He served as the Finance Minister of Israel from 2009 until 2013, when he was appointed as the Minister of Intelligence, a position that has placed him at the head of the Israeli Intelligence Community. He is also the author of Invitation to Philosophy: Imagines Dialogues with Great Philosophers and In Defense of Metaphysics. Steinitz is a well-respected leader, and works tirelessly to protect the nation of Israel – here is what he had to say about Daystar!
