Daystar Television Network has made a critical donation towards the ministry efforts of Canon Andrew White in Iraq. After the initial $10,000 donation was announced over the air on Daystar’s flagship program, Marcus and Joni, Daystar partners and viewers were given the opportunity to contribute and responded with generous enthusiasm, bringing the current total given to over $25,000.
Canon White has served as an ambassador to Iraq for many years, and even led multiple hostage negotiations with Yasser Arafat, former Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization, in an attempt to bring peaceful problem solving to the Middle East.
Currently Canon White is helping to provide relief and food to many Christians who have been displaced and are currently in hiding because of their beliefs. Daystar’s donation will go towards these efforts, helping to provide aid to Christians throughout the country.
“We have lost everything, but we haven’t lost Daystar, you or your partners,” says Canon Andrew White. “Thank you for your support of us, because we so often feel forgotten. And the thing about Daystar is that you don’t forget us. You love us. You serve us. You’re with us serving Yeshua.”
