In celebration of their new CD, #LetsGo, Planetshakers and Daystar Television Network are joining forces to produce an exclusive live event – Planetshakers LIVE – the likes of which has never been attempted on Christian television. The event, which will feature tracks from the new album and personal “Let’s Go” stories from band members and guests, will air live on Daystar from Dallas, Texas on Monday, September 21 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern. Hosted by Brian Carn and Lakewood Church’s John Gray, Planetshakers LIVE will also feature a special musical performance by Grammy award winning Gospel artist Tasha Cobbs.
The mission of Planetshakers LIVE transcends geography, race, denomination, and age with sponsors and partners from all over the world representing different parts of the Body of Christ. This will truly be a global worship event, exalting the name of Jesus around the world! Sponsored by Church of God World Missions, Gateway Church, The Assembly West Monroe, Brian Carn Ministries, John Hagee Ministries, Life Outreach International, the Potters House of Denver, Biblica and Harper Collins Christian Publishing, the 90-minuite broadcast will reach over 108 million homes in the US, 10 million homes in Canada and 700 million homes worldwide – a potential viewing audience of over 2 billion people via Daystar Television.
Demonstrating their mutual heart for missions, and in particular orphans, Daystar and Planetshakers will simulcast Planetshakers LIVE to Samaritan’s Place orphanage in Manila, Philippines in what will be an exclusive watch party for the children living there. Not only will the children have the opportunity to witness the event live, they will also have the chance to participate via Skype!
Founded and administrated by Marc and Marilen Morris, career COG missionaries, Samaritan’s Place has faithfully cared for orphan children and facilitated short-term mission teams in the Philippines for more than sixteen years. A licensed and accredited social welfare agency, Samaritan’s Place services also include administrative liaison work for international adoptions.
In a world that’s searching for answers, Daystar and Planetshakers, believe in the unshakeable truth found in the Word of God. Through partnership with Biblica and Harper Collins Christian Publishing, they will be distributing free NIV Bibles throughout the nation of the Philippines. Not only will the children of Samaritan’s Place receive this gift, but they will also be placed in the hands of future leaders all over the country through the Church of God ministry network. Through this effort local ministry leaders will be equipped to impact their regions, collectively transforming an entire nation with the Gospel.
“Biblica and Harper Collins Christian Publishing together are humbled and honored by the opportunity to provide 2,000 NIV Bibles free of charge to people in the Philippines, many of which do not have a Bible. Our hope and prayer is that lives will be transformed by God’s Word,” jointly shares Biblica and Harper Collins Christian Publishing.
Dr. Tim Hill, General Director, Church of God World Missions, says, “I’m elated that Church of God World Missions can join with Daystar in the global launch of Planetshakers’ new recording. It’s especially meaningful to see this Kingdom opportunity come to the Philippines where the Church of God has over 800 congregations.”
“Here at Daystar we’re always dreaming big and looking for opportunities to pioneer new ground for the Gospel,” says Marcus D. Lamb, Founder and President of the Daystar Television Network. “That’s why we’re so excited to be partnering with Planetshakers for Planetshakers LIVE, an unprecedented global worship event. It is exciting to see the Body of Christ around the world rising above cultural and denominational differences to gather in unity for one purpose: to exalt the name of Jesus!”
“The mission behind #LetsGo is to reach and impact people around the world, seeing them transformed by the power of God and the love of God’s people,” Planetshakers adds. “The fact that we are able to live out this mission through our partnership with Samaritan’s Place and the gift of free Bibles via Biblica and Harper Collins Christian Publishing is beyond incredible – it’s proof that God is behind Planetshakers LIVE. We are so humbled to see all the different people that are partnering with us for this broadcast and hope together we can rally the church to even further impact a world in need of hope.
“We are honored to come alongside Planetshakers, Daystar and Integrity Music, to help reach millions around the globe with the Good News of the Gospel while also helping to create a worship experience where believers can connect with God,” says Robert Morris, Senior Pastor, Gateway Church.
