Daystar Partners and Viewers! Because of your generosity, Daystar was able to make a $76,000 donation to Canon Andrew White and his ministry efforts aiding Christians in Iraq. We presented him with a check for $30,000 when he was here at our studios in Dallas, Texas last month and this, added to the amount we previously donated, brings the total amount given to $76,000!
Canon Andrew White has served as an ambassador to Iraq for many years, and is the Chaplain of St. George’s Anglican Church in Baghdad, Iraq. He is also the founder and president of the Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East. He is currently working to provide relief and aid to the many Iraqi Christians who have been displaced by ISIS and are currently being persecuted for their beliefs. This recent donation will go toward his relief efforts in Iraq.
While at our studios, we had the chance to film two new JONI Table Talk episodes with Canon White, the first of which premieres today, Tuesday, October 28th, and the second on Wednesday, October 29th. Canon White opens up about his past, sharing how the Lord has led him to where he is today in Iraq, and gives us an update on the ongoing crisis for Christians living in that region of the world. You won’t want to miss either of these episodes, so be sure to tune in at 2 a.m., 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Eastern this Tuesday and Wednesday!
