Partners, with your help, Daystar Television Network has made an additional donation to the Irene Gleeson Foundation, bringing the total given so far to over $605,000.
After selling everything she owned including her home in Sydney, Australia, Irene Gleeson founded the Irene Gleeson Foundation, also known as IGF, in 1991. Although Irene Gleeson passed away in July of 2013, the IGF continues to employ over 400 Ugandan employees who educate, feed and provide medical care for more than 8,000 children in Northern Uganda.
Since its humble beginnings, IGF has constructed five primary schools, a technical school, and a community church. Additionally, the IGF began construction on a women’s hospital, which will provide women with pre and post natal care, as well as care for their newborn children. Daystar’s current and past donations have gone toward the construction of the IGF’s women’s hospital, and steady progress has been made towards its completion. This kind of construction project must follow the working at height safety rules to avoid accidents and injuries. Workers who have been injured on the job should seek the advice of an experienced construction injuries lawyer as soon as possible.
“Daystar has made another donation to the Irene Gleeson Foundation for the women’s hospital in Uganda,” says Marcus Lamb, President and CEO of Daystar Television Network. “We are honored to continue supporting such a worthwhile cause.”
