Q: Over this last year we’ve seen more chaos and unrest overtake the world. Why is it important that believers look to Biblical truth and the certainty of God’s authority and Faithfulness for comfort and encouragement in this next year?
A: God tells us that everything that can be shaken will be shaken. Thus shaking is not necessarily a bad thing. It tells us what is sure and forever and what is not. When things are calm, we tend to get comfortable and rely on the world. But shaking has the effect of bringing us closer to God. With all that has been shaken, the Word of God, the love of God, the promise of God, and the faithfulness of God remain the same, unmoved, and rock solid. So, we must now anchor ourselves all the more strongly to these as a ship anchors itself to a rock in the midst of the waves.
Q: How important is prophecy in regard to revealing God’s purpose to His children on the Earth, and why should that give us boldness?
A:We live in prophetic times, times in which the ancient prophecies of the Bible have come true before the eyes of the world, the return of the Jewish people to their ancient homeland, the rebirth of Israel, the restoration of Jerusalem. What prophecy tells us is that through it all and no matter what, God is still on the throne, His Word is true, His promises are faithful, and His love is everlasting. That should give us all the boldness we need to stand strong in the darkness and proclaim the truth to this generation.
Q: What has happened globally in 2021 that possibly lines up with Bible prophecy in your opinion?
A: Most overtly, we’ve seen the continuation of what the Bible prophesies will happen in the last days – the great falling away or apostasy. We see it especially in America and the west, in nations that once stood on Biblical values but are now not only departing from them, but overturning them, and warring against them. And as the culture increasingly endorses sin, we are witnessing a parallel movement of growing hostility to the Gospel. The entire ‘cancel culture’ ultimately aims at cancelling the Bible and God’s people. But this, too, is spoken in Biblical prophecy as reserved for the last days. There are growing signs warning of the end of American preeminence as the head of nations. This too aligns with Biblical prophecy. In 2021 we saw the strengthening of alliances between Russia and both Iran and Turkey. These developments appear to align with Ezekiel 38 and 39. Last year saw also the increased opening up of the Temple Mount to Jewish people and even to Jewish prayer. At the same time, several breakthroughs were reported among those hoping to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, the restoration of the anointing oil, the red heifer, etc. All these things represent steps toward the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem as required by Biblical prophecy.
Q: Tell us about what the Lord is revealing regarding 2022.
A: At the end of 2019, I was praying regarding the year to come. And I received a strong sense that the following year was going to be one of great shaking and dark events – that it would be the resuming of the mystery that began in The Harbinger. It was for that reason that I began writing The Harbinger II at the start of the year, just before the shakings began, that His people would know what was really taking place, what was coming, and how to prepare. We are still undergoing the shakings that began at that time. I know that some felt it would be short-lived. But that’s not what I’ve received. I believe the coming year will see great challenges for the world and God’s people. That the Lord’s purposes in the allowance of these things are not finished. Thus, we must not despise the shakings – as most of us, in some way, came to the Lord through shakings our lives. So, we must rather pray that the redemptive purposes in all these things come to fruition and be fulfilled.
Q: What move or challenge do you see the Lord bringing to the Church?
A: In many ways, the American church has, in recent times, grown comfortable, apathetic, and diluted. Much of the church has ceased to be an active agent and light upon the culture that surrounds it and has been on the defense, affected and compromised by the world. The Lord wants that to change. The forces that war against the faith, the church, and religious freedom are growing in strength and brazenness. If the people of God do not stand boldly now, they may not have that chance again. The dark is growing darker. It’s time for us, the people of God, to shine not less, but more brightly than ever before. The grays are disappearing. And that must be. The Lord is calling us in the days ahead to return to the Book of Acts, a people all out and on fire for God, not conformed to the world but transformed and transforming it, bold, courageous, unafraid, lights illuminating the world.
Q: What message has God laid on your heart for believers in 2022?
A: The hour is late. If we are ever going to live as God called us to live, the time is now. If there’s anything in our lives that shouldn’t be there, the time is now, today, to begin getting it out. And if there’s anything not in our lives that God has called us to be and do and rise to, the time is now, today, to begin rising to it. This we must do for our sake. But we must also do it for the world’s sake, for America’s sake. They need to see something real, something different, not like the world, but revolutionary. They need to see us living for real as the disciples of Messiah – as He called us to live.
Q: Are there any warnings that God has revealed to you regarding America or other nations of the world?
A: What The Harbinger and The Harbinger II reveal is that America is progressing in an ancient Biblical template of national judgment. Since I wrote The Harbinger, it hasn’t stopped. The signs have continued to appear, the harbingers have continued to manifest, and America has continued in its descent from God. The only hope America has is revival. Without that, the nation is lost. Thus we must pray as never before for revival to come. And we must not only pray for revival – it’s time to actually choose revival, to live our lives in revival. If we do that, then revival will have come.
Q: As more and more things happen that move us closer to the return of Jesus, how should believers be preparing their hearts and engaging the world right now?
A: We need to remind ourselves that this is not our home. This is our mission field. We’re not here to worry or live in fear – we’re here to spread the Gospel and shine His light. And we need to remind ourselves that no matter what is going on around us – in the world – it’s not the final story. The last word belongs to God. We are each bound for Heaven. While we’re in this world, our job is to bring as many people as possible to get there with us.
Q: Even though this last year has left many feeling anxious and uncertain, why is there always reason to hope when it comes to God?
A: Though I am called to give warning, I’ve never written a book that doesn’t end with hope. With God, there’s always hope. And as long as we are of God and live in His will, we are people of great hope. For us, these can be the greatest of times. For it is the night that reveals the candles that burn within it. And it is in such times that the greatest of testimonies and the greatest lives of believers are revealed. When you watch a movie, the most exciting part and climax usually takes place in the last fifteen minutes. God has chosen us to live in the last fifteen minutes of the movie. It’s an honor. It’s exciting – challenging – but exciting.
Therefore, let us all resolve to live this year rising to our calling, ascending to the greatest heights, and in a manner worthy of these days for which we were all placed in our mother’s womb – for such a time as this!
