I am doing well considering I had an approximately 12 lb. tumor (imagine a 12 lb. baby being born) removed from the upper back of my leg. The tumor was the size of a “nerf-football.” Between it being removed and the cancer diet I have been on, I am down to 170 lbs.
I am already walking with a walker and the doctors are moving me to a rehab wing of Dallas Presbyterian Hospital tomorrow. They tell me I will be there for two more weeks. They say I will walk with a limp, but they did save my sciatic nerve and I will have full function of my leg. I also have a huge scar (28 inches long) and crevice in my leg where the tumor used to be.
Everyday I am in tears, thanking God for saving my life and keeping my body whole. I have become a “weeper” at what I see. I am in tears in a nano second. God has softened my heart and I am so thankful.”
