On October 11, Daystar welcomed special guest P.G. Vargis to “Celebration.” Rev. Vargis is a missionary to Northern India, the most unchurched area in the world with only 0.01% of the population professing Christianity. Daystar was blessed to present a $10,000 check to his ministry, Indian Evangelical Team.
Indian Evangelical Team has planted 5,784 churches in Northern India – an especially remarkable feat considering one of their missionaries is attacked every three hours. Although faced with incredible persecution, none of the missionaries has left the field. God has blessed their faithfulness by allowing them to see many souls saved; they baptized 6,000 people on August 15 alone.
The $10,000 donated by Daystar will be used to purchase 10 motorcycles for the leaders of the Indian Evangelical Team. The team is in desperate need of transportation and the bikes will be a great help. Said P.G. Vargis, “A motorcycle is like an SUV in India.”
