Bio
Dr. Nabeel Qureshi is a global itinerant speaker with Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) and the author of Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim’s Journey to Christ (Zondervan, February 2014).
Raised as a devout Muslim in the United States, Nabeel grew up studying Islamic apologetics with his family and engaging Christians in religious discussions. After one such discussion with a Christian at his university, the two became best friends and began a years-long debate on the historical claims of Christianity and Islam.
After careful investigation, Nabeel was surprised to find the Christian Gospel strong enough to withstand rigorous scrutiny and shocked to discover that the same was not true for Islam. A decision to convert, however, would require tremendous sacrifice, dramatically impacting his life and the lives of everyone in his family. Needing more than just arguments, Nabeel began seeking God the only way he knew how: supernaturally. God heard Nabeel’s prayers and revealed himself through visions and dreams. Confident that God had confirmed what he had learned through his studies, Nabeel accepted the Gospel and dedicated his life to proclaiming it. His dramatic personal journey is chronicled in his new book Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus: A Devout Muslim Encounters Christianity.
Nabeel has given lectures on the foundations of the Christian faith and the early history and teachings of Islam at universities throughout North America, including Dartmouth College, New York University, Johns Hopkins University, Rutgers, the University of North Carolina, the University of Ottawa, and Biola University. He has participated in numerous moderated, public debates in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Nabeel Qureshi holds an MD from Eastern Virginia Medical School, an MA in Christian apologetics from Biola University, and an MA in Religion from Duke University. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife.
