About Mark Burnett
Mark Burnett is a British television producer, based in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he has produced over 2,400 hours of television which regularly airs in over 70 countries, including series such as Survivor, The Voice, The Apprentice, Shark Tank and People Choice Awards.
Burnett has been named one of the world’s most influential people by TIME Magazine, and has won five Emmy Awards and four People’s Choice Awards. In total, his projects have accumulated 98 Emmy nominations. In addition to his work as a producer, Burnett has also authored eight books.
Mark married Roma Downey on April 28, 2007. Together, the couple produced The Bible, a miniseries that aired on the History Channel in early 2013, and their most recent film, Son of God, will be out in theaters on February 28, 2014.
