Bio

Colin Smith is senior pastor of The Orchard, a vibrant church with four campuses throughout greater Chicagoland. The Orchard is committed to seeing the Gospel run and expand rapidly through the lives of believers as they follow Christ. The mission of the church calls Christians to put down deep roots in the Word of God, live life through the Spirit of God and bring forth fruit in service for God. More widely, Colin is the teacher on the daily radio program, “Unlocking the Bible.” With a weekly audience of more than 250,000, the program is now heard on over 200 stations throughout the United States. Thousands also hear it more via podcast and smartphone apps and on the internet. The ministry challenges listeners to believe that their lives can be transformed by personal study of God’s Word through “the power of the open book.” Colin was born and raised in Edinburg, Scotland. He met his wife Karen while studying at London Bible College and later ministered at the Enfield Evangelical Free Church in north London. The Smiths now live in the Chicago area and have two married sons and four grandchildren.
