Bio
Dr. Ronnie Goines is the senior pastor of Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington, Texas. Koinonia is founded on 4 L’s: Lift up the Name of Jesus Christ, Love and be loved, Learn, and Laugh.
In 2004, after much prayer and discussion, Ronnie, his wife Nikki, Donald Ray McDonald, Natalie Carter, and Ivory Daniel III started a bible study in the Goines’ family living room. This bible study gave birth to a new church–Koinonia Baptist Church. Later, the name changed to Koinonia Bible Church. However, to avoid its name presenting any denominational prejudices or hindrances, the church eventually decided to simply be known as Koinonia Christian Church. Today, the church has grown into a congregation of over 4,000 members with diverse denominational backgrounds.
Rev. Goines is a man who loves and reveres God with all of his heart, mind and soul. He is not only committed to preaching the Word of God, but to a lifestyle that reflects what he teaches. He is a devoted family man with three sons – Noah, Luke and Daniel.
Dr. Goines has served as a youth pastor, and as a Minister Associate with H.I.S. Bridge Builders, a non-profit organization called to bring economic and spiritual revival to impoverished communities. Another non-profit with which he is associated is Operation Dunamai—an organization responsible for feeding thousands of families each year. Presently, he serves on various boards of directors for organizations throughout the metroplex. He extends his civic responsibility further by volunteering as a chaplain for the Arlington Police Department. He is also a founder and board member of Koinonia Christian Academy. Dr. Goines truly considers himself blessed to have had these opportunities to share with so many throughout the U.S. and abroad.
