Angela Believes God Heals!

The philosophical and theological argument regarding the subject, “Does God still heal today” has been around since the time of Christ. The following brief passage represents in just a few short words the healing ministry of Christ. “Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. The people were amazed when they saw the mute speaking, the lame walking and the blind seeing” (Matt. 15:30-31).[pullquote4 align=”right” style=”width:300px;”]By Who’s Authority?
By whose authority have we removed
the miracle working power of the Lord?
Closed the eyes of the blind man and
left a little girl on her death bed,
A demoniac demonized and a paralytic
on his pallet lame?
Have we given back the little boy
his meager lunch —
And left the multitudes hungry for His miracles
And the blind and lame seeking someone
to lead and carry them?
Have we forever nailed the entrance to the
house of the Lord securely shut so that no one
can allow a lame man to be healed?[/pullquote4]I believe that miracles can only happen in an atmosphere of faith and worship. Faith enables us to believe the impossible, while worship opens the door for God to enter and grant the miracle. More importantly, there must be faith — mountain-moving faith!

For thirteen year-old Angela, born with a blind eye, she read her bible with her one good eye and thanked God that she could see at all. She never complained nor did she ever stop believing that He would send her a miracle. Like the persistent widow in Luke 18:18, she continued to shower heaven with prayer, fasting and godly living. Her favorite scripture was, “Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him?” (Matthew 7:7-11). The day I spotted Angela in church she was singing “Amazing Grace” when suddenly she screamed, “I can see. I can see.” In one brief moment, the Healer touched her, and in front of over 500 witnesses, she acquired perfect vision in her previously blind eye. Child of God, our Lord still heals. Trust Him for your healing. Skeptics often receive little, but genuine believers have a divine and infinite potential to receive so much.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in good health, even as thy soul prospers” (3 John 2).

Hope stands steadfastly ready to believe that the miracle and faith in His Word
will bring answers to all who love Him.
