Last week on Celebration, Marcus Lamb and his son, Jonathan Lamb, welcomed special guest Tommy Bates to the studio. Bates, the pastor of Community Family Church in Independence, Kentucky, was on hand to talk about his work with International Missions Organization in Haiti.  Daystar was blessed to be able to donate $10,000 toward Bates’ efforts.

Daystar Television Network partnered with Feed the Children to feed over 400 families in the Bedford, Texas area today.

Each family was given a 25 pound box of food, a 10 pound box of personal care products and a box of Avon. Additionally, Daystar handed out free CDs featuring Joni Lamb and the Daystar Singers and Band to everyone.

Daystar has been nominated for 14 Lone Star Emmys, to be awarded November 5 in Houston. The awards are given annually to “the most experienced and talented television professionals from all disciplines of the industry,” according to the organization’s website.
