The ongoing revival in China is perhaps the most powerful in church history. Reliable sources estimate that there are at least 130 million believers in China today - up from about 1 million when Mao came to power. Many thousands are coming to Christ every day and this remarkable move of God is happening largely through the underground house-church networks.
In the middle of the revival, a most unique missions effort is growing: the Back To Jerusalem vision. The vibrant underground church has accepted the call to help complete the Great Commission and hasten the return of Christ. Large numbers of Chinese believers feel called - and uniquely qualified through many years of hardship and persecution – to take the gospel into the strongholds of darkness in Asia and the Middle East all the way back to where it started, Jerusalem. Thus, the name Back To Jerusalem.
In connection with leaders in the Chinese house-church networks the weekly Back To Jerusalem program is being produced to make the church in the west aware of this extraordinary move of God. It’s hosted by Evie and Pelle Karlsson and features segments with house-church network leaders and missionaries – often with obscured faces and hidden identities for protection – as well as other reports pertaining to the target areas. Each week also features a segment with Chinese Brother Yun known for his remarkable testimony in the book “The Heavenly Man”. This book has touched lives all over the world as he shares his testimony of suffering and victory.
The Back To Jerusalem program reflects a rarely seen part of the Body of Christ as the Chinese respond to the unique Back To Jerusalem missions call. Many believe that this is a significant and prophetic move of God “for such a time as this”.
