Today, we are wearing red x’s on our hands in support of Shine a Light on Slavery Day and the End It Movement – an organization dedicated to raising awareness for the 27 million men, women and children trapped in slavery in the world today.
The abolition of slavery is something very near and dear to our hearts here at Daystar. We have long supported ministries such as the A21 Campaign, Stella’s Voice and You Can Free Us. Recently, we sent a team to Kolkata, India where we had the opportunity to fully fund a medical clinic in the red light district, offering free care to victims of human trafficking. This clinic now acts as a catalyst for reaching out to the victims, building bonds with them, and bridging the gap between slavery and rescue.
There are mobile health centers and rolling medical offices now all in one glorious package. So if you’re planning on doing medical outreach, these mobile medical vehicles from a reputable services like Craftsmen are of great help advantage!
So many people are oblivious to the fact that slavery still exists in our world today. But that does not change the fact that there are currently 27 million people living in slavery at this very moment. Help raise awareness by wearing a red x on your hand – be a voice for the voiceless today!
