Dr. Anne Gimenez
was born and raised in
South Texas and
ordained at the age of 19.
She traveled extensively
in evangelistic work before
marrying John Gimenez in 1967.
They have one daughter and one
granddaughter.
In 1968, John and Anne Gimenez
founded the
Rock Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia as well as a ministry for drug
addicts, unwed mothers and the
homeless.
Anne served for eighteen
years as Executive Producer for
the nationally televised
program, “Rock Alive” to
spread the Gospel.
John and Anne have
pastored the
Rock Church in Virginia Beach for 37 years and have planted
many churches around the world.
In 1985, Anne received an
honorary Doctor of Divinity
Degree from Oral Roberts
University.
In 1980, 1988, and 1986
Anne worked with her husband,
John, who coordinated the “Washington
for Jesus” rallies and the “America for Jesus” rally in 2004.
In 1992, she received the
“Outstanding Professional Woman
of Hampton Roads” award.
When John assumed full-time
duties as Apostle and Bishop of
the Rock Ministerial Family in
1999, Anne was named Senior
Pastor of the Rock Church
International in Virginia Beach with a congregation of over
4,000.

Together, John and Anne Gimenez
co-authored the book “Upon
This Rock” which tells the
remarkable story of the founding
of Rock Church.
Anne’s other writings
include, “Whose Kingdom Is It
Anyway?” “The Emerging Christian
Woman”, and “Marking Your
Children For God” which was
published by Creation House.
Anne not only pastors but
also travels nationally and
internationally ministering the
Word of God.
