Even though Janie Burkett Harrison was raised in a pastor’s home, as a teenager she chose a life of bulimia, drug addiction, and alcoholism which eventually lead her to prison at the age of twenty-two. After eighteen months in prison she was paroled still dealing with her addictions. On December the 18th, 2008, Janie was given a forty-year prison sentence for breaking her probation. By God’s miraculous power, six weeks later Janie’s sentence was over turned and she was sent to Teen Challenge where she found salvation, healing, and deliverance.
Janie’s life experiences have given her a reason and passion to speak to people from all different walks of life. Whether you are struggling with a drug addiction, alcoholism, eating disorders, self-acceptance, abuse, or incarceration there is freedom for you, Janie has walked that road and has experienced freedom through Jesus.
