Scratch buttermilk & mayonnaise biscuits
ingredients
2 cups self rising flour
½ cup mayonnaise
¾ cup butter milk
Instructions
1. Put flour in bowl; add mayonnaise; mix with large spoon
2. Pour in butter milk; knead with hand
3. If too moist add a small amount of flour
4. If too stiff; add a little more buttermilk
5. Do not over work the dough
6. Turn it out on the counter with flour sprinkled on it.
7. Pat it out with your hand; sprinkle flour on top so you can
handle the dough
8. cut out the biscuits (can use top of small glass)
9. put on baking pan or cookie sheet
10. bake 400; 15 minutes or until golden brown |
