Green Onion Biscuits
Ingredients:

1 cup barley flour or whole-wheat pastry
1 cup spelt flour or whole-wheat pastry
4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. dry dill weed-optional
½ cup minced green onion
4-6 tbsp. butter or oil
¼ cup buttermilk

Directions:

1) Mix all dry ingredients together
2) Cut in butter or oil until blended to a course cornmeal texture
3) Add enough buttermilk to form a ball, do not over mix
4) Drop by spoonfuls onto oiled baking sheet (or, knead slightly, roll out, cut into shapes, and bake)
5) Bake at 400º for about 15 minutes or until done; the bottom should be golden brown; makes 10-12 medium-sized biscuits
