Marcus Lamb was born October 7, 1957, in Cordele, GA and raised in Macon, GA. He began preaching as an Evangelist in 1973 at the age of 15. He received his degree at age 19, and graduated MAGNA CUM LAUDE from Lee University in Cleveland, TN.
In 1980, Marcus founded Word of God Fellowship. He married Joni Trammell in 1982, and she began to travel full time with him as they ministered in more than 20 states. In 1985, Marcus built WMCF-TV 45 in Montgomery, AL, which was the first Christian TV Station in the state. The Montgomery station was sold to another Christian ministry in 1990, and the Lamb’s moved to Dallas, TX, to build KMPX-TV29. Through a series of miracles and divine favor, TV 29 went on the air full power in September of 1993. In 1997, Marcus began the Daystar Television Network, which owns and operates TV stations across the nation. Daystar is now the second largest Christian Television Network in America.
Marcus and Joni host a daily TV program called Celebration that is broadcast “live” via Satellite across the nation and around the world. Marcus and Joni minister at various churches around the nation on a regular basis and have a heart for souls and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Marcus has a unique gifting in preaching and teaching the Word of God, as an Evangelist, he has committed to memory large portions of scripture. Marcus ministers with great sensitivity to the hearers with an emphasis on praying at the altars and moving in the gifts of the Spirit. It is his desire to see people saved, healed and revived with the fire of God.
Marcus and Joni reside in Dallas, TX with their three children, Jonathan 20, Rachel 16, and Rebecca 14.
